Welcome to Art Room 311!
My name is Susan Bartman and I am thrilled to be the visual art teacher here at Forsythe Middle School! I am a certified art teacher for grades K-12, earned a bachelor degree from Western Michigan University and a masters degree from Eastern Michigan University. I stay inspired as a professional through the Michigan Art Education Association (MAEA) and my own personal work in drawing and painting.
The art program here at Forsythe offers students in grades 6, 7 and 8 a variety of both traditional and digital studio art classes. In each class students practice new skills, experiment with different materials & options and, explore a variety of solutions to creative challenges. The goal is to have students learn skills and gain confidence that are transferrable to other art mediums, as well as to other disciplines.
The art room is a great place to struggle through problems on the way to discovering possibilities!
